ShareWe’re looking for a social media expert to join our marketing team. You’ll lead on social media strategy, planning and content. You’ll work closely with the University’s Head of Social Media and Campaigns to ensure the School’s and University’s channels work in harmony. You’ll also work with country-specialists on social media campaigns on international platforms.
This is a fixed-term role for one year to cover parental leave.
About you
You’ll be an experienced specialist in social media marketing, strategy and best practice.
You will have:
- a good first degree or relevant equivalent qualifications
- experience of successful social media management and planning
- in-depth knowledge of social media platforms, who uses them and how to use each strategically
- experience sourcing, coordinating and publishing social content that follows brand guidelines
- expertise in creating analytics reports to measure success
- experience using software and tools for professional social media management like Canva, Lnk.Bio and Sprout Social
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
To really succeed in this role, you’ll need to have amazing people skills and be able to work well with academics, professional staff, students and alumni. You’ll also need to bring innovative ideas that can help us compete for the attention of the best potential students.
About the role
You’ll lead on sourcing, commissioning, curating and planning all social media content for our channels. Using our brand and tone of voice, and your expertise in social media, you’ll build on our social media strategy to help us:
- improve our external reputation, a key part of the School’s strategy
- drive user engagement and build a community of followers
- keep up with the latest trends in social media
- translate our research into impact in line with our research marketing strategy
- build interest as we launch new courses and explore new international recruitment markets
