Our Social Media Team support with the business in three key ways:
- Building engagement and brand affiliation through our social media communities on numerous channels – including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
- Creating exciting, engaging and on brand social media campaigns and assets; working alongside other internal teams to develop high quality content that positions and enhance recognition of Slimming World’s leadership and expertise in weight management.
- Providing excellent support and training to the Consultants who run our groups, our staff and managers to equip them with the tools and understanding of social media to promote Slimming World in their communities.
Your role with us...
We’ve an exciting opportunity for a full-time Social Media Community Assistant to join our Social Media engagement team based at our Head Office in Alfreton. You’ll work across all of our social platforms to support best practice and lead on social media engagement activity to build a positive, supportive community. You’ll do this to not only support and satisfy the audiences on Slimming World’s social media channels, but to surprise and delight them too!
The key responsibilities for the role include:
- Working to cultivate and nurture relationships on social media, monitor and participate in relevant conversations, and support teams around the business and Consultants to manage their own communities effectively.
- Ensure Slimming World’s reputation is protected by listening and responding quickly and positively to build community and address threats across all social media platforms
- Using and promoting monitoring systems and tools to respond promptly and accurately to any issues and escalating across the business as appropriate.
- Working alongside all areas of the business including the field and Head Office, managers, Consultants and staff, to promote excellent customer service to anyone who interacts with our channels.
About you...
We’re looking for someone who can bring their incredible customer service skills, to provide that same level of care and support to our members and consultants over our social media channels. We’d love to hear from you if you have customer service experience (ideally online), are naturally warm and friendly, and you:
- demonstrate exceptional communication skills in a warm and friendly way, with good judgement, common sense and a light touch
- are a social advocate who understands the role social media plays in creating affiliation and strong communities
- appreciate the differences in audiences across various social media channels and are confident in altering approach accordingly
- have great time management skills with the ability to confidently prioritise and change direction or respond quickly when necessary
- have previous experience in a similar role, with particular focus being resolving complaints while adopting a patient and compassionate style
- have a genuine empathy with people who are struggling with their weight
- have experience of working with, and are skilled in the use of various PC, information management and Microsoft Office packages
The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including working some evenings and weekend days on a rota.
