Hypebeast is looking for a culturally-connected, collaborative, and creative Social Media Manager to join our team based in London, UK.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about fashion, footwear and all things related to street and popular culture, and is an expert at connecting us to our audience through impactful and innovative ‘social first’ content and storytelling,
The fast-paced nature of working at Hypebeast is further amplified by the speed of social: we’re looking for someone who can anticipate movements within culture, understand and implement platform updates, and use insights to engage an audience, increasing the reach and impact of the Hypebeast brand.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of content, publishing, and community management strategies on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
- Create inspiring and innovative content plans that include copy, assets and strategy.
- Manage team to create/edit photo/video that maximizes engagement, reach and client retention.
- Manage the scheduling and publishing of content across all social channels.
- Deliver performance reports for each project with both raw data and insights.
- Ensure Hypebeast’s tone and style is consistent in paid/client projects.
- Work closely with GSSMM to implement global strategy and updates.
- Monitor social media networks for breaking news and viral content, including UGC.
- Monitor industry trends and stay on top of the latest social media technical innovations.
- Be an advocate for best practice at all times.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in a social media role at a creative agency or in-house at a global brand, with a proven track record and demonstrable work portfolio.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience with social publishing and analytics tools (e.g. Later and Google Analytics).
- Experience with editing software (e.g. Photoshop and Premiere Pro) to create and edit content.
- Experience with paid/dark social is a bonus.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of key social networks, nuances and algorithms.
- Able to build strong working relationships across teams and business units.
- Strong sense of initiative, a collaborative spirit and an ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of the kind of content Hypebeast publishes at a local and international level.
- Must be based in London and able to work at least two days per week from the office.
- Must speak meme.
This position is based and located in London. Candidate must be eligible to work in UK.
