Overview: The incumbent in this position will communicate the resort’s messaging, and voice for all property departments via all social platforms. This position is responsible to stay abreast of cutting-edge technologies and best practices, industry standards, and emerging technologies as it relates to social media. This role will be required to work closely with Digital Marketing Manager to determine and execute strategy in each department and to make sure they fully support all initiatives related to these areas. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this position supports the Marketing Department in executing initiative to increase and enhance the reputation of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain among key stakeholders by gaining positive digital media exposure locally, regionally and nationally. Should be a team player who is able to work with multiple departments while also being an independent contributor. Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position) - Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for luxury entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations. - Partner with Management teams to align social media messages with the overall corporate marketing calendar and brand. - Develop weekly social media and mobile marketing posts, messages and content that align with and support Hard Rock International corporate initiatives. In addition, manage and track outreach programs to support major corporate initiatives. - Develop graphics for social media, web and digital signage on property. - Launch (if applicable) and manage social media presence on HR Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Four Square, Google+, Flickr, YouTube accounts, and other emerging social media platforms for Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. - Develop a social media strategy to maintain and grow each channel. - Engage online audiences, both reactively and proactively, ultimately empowering others to talk about the brand. - Attend events/concerts/etc to provide insight and photos to the social audience. - Continuous review of listings, and placement on social media platforms. Correct inaccuracies and provide updated images and content. Fact-checking, gathering new and updated information. - Develop effective measurement tools and strategies that measure the overall impact of campaigns and accurately quantify results. - Maintain accurate documentation of all components of social media. - Create and define metrics to communicate results to management in a fast-paced environment. - Build and maintain a working relationship with bloggers and other internet influencers. - Willingness to experiment and innovate while protecting the company’s brand and staying in compliance with all regulatory, FTC, and company policies related to Social Media activities. - Responsible for leading research, strategy, and implementation of emerging forms of digital media and paid social media inclusion. - Leverage mobile and social media platforms to communicate the brand and the brand story. - Understand current trends, technologies, and advancements in the mobile and social media space. - Oversee production and implementation of emerging media campaigns. - Assist the Digital Marketing Manager with various responsibilities and tasks including administrative duties. - Perform work regularly and predictably. - Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work and public spaces. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis) This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Visual Communications, or related field; or 3 years of brand or retail marketing experience, including a minimum of 2 years in digital, interactive or social media experience. Agency or corporate experience in building interactive media campaigns, including website usability and design, website analytics, banner ads, contextual ads, blogs, social networking, viral, and non-traditional techniques strongly preferred. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc): - Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations. - Must successfully pass background check. - Must successfully pass drug screening. - Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. - Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred. - Prior experience in Tribal Gaming preferred. KNOWLEDGE OF: - Understanding of and experience in the property’s local and regional gaming market a plus. - Hard Rock’s marketing functions including, but not limited to advertising and branding. - Procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software applications such as word processing, email, spreadsheets, and databases to include excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Adobe Creative Suite. - Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations. - Working knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Trip Advisor, Yelp, and blogs. - Online advertising tactics including banner ad variations, contextual ads, blogs, social networking, viral, and non-traditional techniques. - Demonstrated ability to develop conceptual visual ideas and execute against them to create innovative digital solutions in a highly collaborative environment. - Goal orientation with experience meeting revenue and campaign performance targets. - Strong strategic marketing, brand marketing and integrated marketing skills. - Excellent planning, analytical, conceptual and organizational skills. - Excellent writing and grammatical skills. - Web development processes and best practices. ABILITY TO: - Ability to be a creative, detail oriented, multi-tasker who actively stays ahead of industry trends in order to contribute to the success of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain in all social environments. - Deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive, memorable entertainment experience. - Routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals. - Present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional appearance. - Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. - Participate in the development and administration of goals, objectives, and procedures. - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. - Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed. - This position spends time on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise, and the severity of which depends upon guest volume. - Ability to prioritize and manage changing requirements and short timelines, as well as multiple overlapping projects simultaneously.
