As one of the fastest growing companies in Essex, we are currently looking for an energetic social media marketing assistant. This will turn into a permanent position for the right candidate and will gradually be promoted to a more senior role. As a historic British company we are looking for the right person to convey that message about our products via social media marketing. This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in the social media landscape and is looking to gain experience in the marketing industry. This position will be responsible for creating, managing, and growing our social media accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Photography skills are a must. Much of this position will be creating content for our social media pages.
- Create and post original content that reflects the Giffard Newton & Sons Limited brand image.
- Develop a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to our website.
- Maintain and grow our social media presence on various platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google+.
- Monitor comments, likes, shares and other social media metrics to ensure the integrity of the brand’s online presence.
- Develop an understanding of audience preferences and monitor performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Complete tasks related to social media management including scheduling posts, managing comments, likes and shares.
- Collaborate with marketing team members on projects as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple social media accounts as well as strong communication skills. This position will be full-time with benefits available after 3 months of employment. We are open to a part-time schedule during busy seasons (i.e., summer). Please send resume/CV!
