Job description
- Create global social media strategies and build editorial teams with representatives from different departments and different regions
- Create content that is consistent in style and tone, concise, search-engine-optimized, and actionable to assist in providing an excellent user experience while staying within the framework of ESAB’s brand
- Support and implement on-the-page and off-the-page SEO strategies
- Build and manage meaningful business relationships with ESAB influencer
- Responsible for creating a pipeline of new ESAB influencers
- Write social media content for new product campaigns, promotions, and on-going strategies
- Work closely with the Manager of Content Strategy to create a holistic content strategy that includes all inbound digital tactics and uses SEO as an underlying framework
- Provide writing support on other marketing initiatives that are outside of the websites
- Bachelor’s degree journalism, communications, or marketing, 8 yrs. of relevant work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Welding experience is nice to have, but not needed
- Knowledge on Cision, Agorapulse, Meltwater, Moz, BrightEdge, SEMrush or similar social media, SEO, influencer outreach tools
- 7+ years of result driven social media and tiered influencer outreach campaigns for mid to large size brands
- Experience leading social for brands with a global presence
- 7+ years of content writing for digital tactics including social media, web, and paid search
- Strong experience in building business relationship with influencers
- Strong web writing samples required
- Solid writing, editing and proofreading skills in English
- Solid understanding about how web and social media content needs to be written for web consumption
- Strong knowledge about on-the-page and off-the-page SEO tactics
- Experience in sourcing content through a journalistic approach of interviews and questions posed to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience (and comfort/confidence) in interviewing and being in front of the camera
- Experience using analytics, SEO tools and user testing to optimize content
- Experience writing for both brand marketing and direct marketing initiatives a plus
- Experience collaborating with different cross functional teams a plus
- Knowledge about user experience principles or methodologies a plus
- Experience working within open-source and enterprise CMS a plus
