Social Media Manager (Recruitment Marketing)
Birmingham – hybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 wherever.

We seek a talented and experienced Social Media Manager to join our team reporting to the Global Head of Employer Brand & Talent Attraction working in our HR department. You will lead our recruitment marketing efforts. As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that engage top talent in our company you will get the opportunity to work on BT Group, BT Business, EE, Openreach and Plusnet.
What are we looking for in our Social Media Manager?
- Develop and Implement social media strategies to support recruitment goals and understand recruitment challenges supporting social media activity.
- Organise monthly meetings to plan the content calendar two to three months in advance, liaising with the team and external stakeholders.
- Approve the content that is posted across the different social media channels, organically and paid (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok), across different brands when applicable (BT Group, BT, EE, Plusnet, Openreach).
- Responsible for community management across different social channels, including Indeed and Glassdoor.
- Collaborate with Internal stakeholders to ensure social media content aligns with the company brand and values.
- Monitor and analyse social media performance metrics to track the success of the recruitment campaigns and deliver a monthly report to Internal stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver an ambassador/advocate strategy for the business internally & externally.
- Manage our creative and media agencies.
Profile for our Social Media Manager?
- Solid experience in working with social media, organic and paid.
- Understanding how social media can have an impact on employer branding and recruitment.
- Experience with social media tools (Sprout Social or similar) for scheduling and approving content and, reporting.
- Stakeholder management and managing projects from concept to execution.
- Would be great if there was an understanding of recruitment marketing platforms such as Indeed, GD, Linkedin, etc, and general recruitment media.
- Analytical skills and ability to measure and report on social media performance metrics.
