Responsibilities and duties

  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels.
  • Lead on day-to-day management of our social media channels alongside the Social Media Executives, increasing reach and engagement and working with the media team to manage any issues.
  • Work with the Social Media executives to co-ordinate content across all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and other relevant platforms.
  • Ensuring all content is on brand and delivered in the appropriate tone of voice with high levels of accuracy. This includes influencer management, moderating our social media channels and creating campaign concepts/ideas.
  • Identify new opportunities for growth and development of platforms and channels (e.g. trend reports, monitoring cultural trends and being aware of upcoming social platforms)
  • Know what is happening in the social media world on a daily basis.
  • Analyse competitor activity and encourage the social team to share insights.
  • Support the Senior Social Media Executive with implementing new social media strategies.
  • Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy for each platform.
  • Own the development of monthly social calendar, incorporating new themes and ideas into the existing strategy.
  • Supporting the Brand Manager and brand team in project managing larger-scale projects outside of the day to day e.g. bigger integrated campaigns with other in-house teams e.g. Christmas, Birthday campaigns
  • Working with the Senior Social Executive and Brand Manager to develop creative content strategies to reach and engage our target audience across multiple social channels
  • Managing and overseeing key influencer marketing campaigns
  • Being responsible of organic strategy, coordination and supporting Social Media Executives with posting
  • Ensure that organic strategy campaigns meet the brands expectations in terms of engagement, reach, traffic etc.
  • Execute, monitor, and optimize social media campaigns
  • Work with internal teams to create and launch new assets across both organic and paid social (learn more about paid social)
  • Measure the success of each social media platform (Weekly, Monthly & Campaign Social reports and monitor performance against social media KPI's)
  • Working closely with the brand and design teams to brief the creative concepts to in-house creatives or outsource to create social media assets
  • Manage our external relationships with photographers, videographers etc. ensuring they are fit for purpose, reviewed regularly and all projects/campaigns are executed in a timely manor
  • Create engaging multimedia content across multiple platforms (brainstorming creative concepts and presenting ideas whilst being disruptive to engage our target audience)
  • Maximise opportunities for audience interaction and engagement across several platforms
  • Ensure consistency in tone of voice and personality across all social media platforms, and make recommendations on per-platform adaptations
  • Lead presentations and briefings as and when required, delivering key business communication and daily objectives.
  • Assist with E-Commerce requests (co-ordinating and attending shoots)
  • Model the way by inspiring, motivating and encouraging teamwork
  • Conduct productive daily or weekly meetings to ensure that all social media goals are met
  • Effectively delegate projects to the social media executives while at the same time allowing others the creativity to succeed by making their own decisions
  • Motivate, lead, and encourage the social team to achieve targets and deliver the best possible content to engage our target audience
  • Manage, motivate, and lead junior staff such as social media executives to deliver best in practice content with flawless execution
  • Have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form
  • Monitor the social team's adherence to company policies and procedures; follow up when needed.
  • Be the 'go to' person for all things related to AYBL's social media.

Person Specification


  • Interest in the fitness and social media industry
  • Experience in a social media role (+3 years Preferred) and +1 years in a management role
  • Have a deep understanding of the digital media landscape with a focus on social media platforms.
  • Very aware of latest social media trends
  • Excellent time management
  • Pro active
  • Extremely well-organised individual with the skills required to manage multiple workstreams at once
