Executive Summary
Are you a creative, results-driven student looking for a paid internship opportunity this summer? AdTalk is hiring an entry-level Social Media Marketing Intern!
AdTalk is a new resource hub designed to provide small businesses and start-ups with free marketing resources to help them thrive in their industry. We host a podcast-blog duo, with episodes every Tuesday and Friday. Alongside our resource hub, we offer digital marketing services to clients in various industries. These services include social media management, paid ad campaign management, website design, and content marketing.
Social Media Marketing Intern Job Responsibilities:
- Helps manage client(s) social media accounts and posts content.
- Designs social media graphics.
- Writes for social media.
- Brainstorms campaign ideas.
- Analyzes analytics to gauge the success of the company’s campaigns.
- Understands the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
- Attends weekly check-in meetings with the team, and monthly check-in meetings with clients.
- Prepares and presents social media reports for clients.
- May assist in running paid digital marketing campaigns.
Social Media Intern Qualifications / Skills:
- Online engagement
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Strong organization
- Professionalism
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Motivated, & self-driven
- Works well independently and in a team environment
- Social Media Marketing certification(s) are considered an asset
- Experience using Adobe programs, Google Suite, and Slack is considered an asset
- Experience using Canva, Wix, Later, and Monday required
- Experience using Instagram, Facebook, Meta Business Suite, Pinterest, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter required
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- In 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a college diploma or advanced diploma program, or a university undergraduate degree program
- Prior industry experience is preferred
Due to this position being remote, applicants will also need to have access to a laptop, reliable internet connection, and an appropriate work environment.
