The main purpose for our Social Media Executive:
The ideal candidate will bring creative ideas and a big personality, with a proven ability to work remotely as part of a small team. The main purpose of this role is to take ownership of all organic YouFibre social media accounts, building and delivering a content calendar aligned to business priorities, growing our following exponentially and helping to respond to customer queries across multiple digital touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to manage social media platforms, possess fantastic communication skills and bring a strong sense of humour to the table. As YouFibres Social Media Executive, your key responsibilities are:
- Support the development of a forward-looking social media strategy for YouFibre, identifying the appropriate channels to best reach our key target audiences with the right messages.
- Develop and manage YouFibre’s organic (not paid for) social media channels – currently Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn – in line with business activity, building a content plan and delivering against the campaign calendar.
- Suggest and lead incremental development ideas for expanding YouFibre’s social media presence onto new social media platforms.
- Provide regular reporting on social media activity and progress against defined KPI’s. Analyse organic social media campaigns to gather data to inform future campaign improvement.
- Take responsibility for responding to customer comments to social media posts, working closely with the Customer Services team.
- Monitor and report on competitor social media activity.
- Provide basic copywriting support for website content development, including blogs, news stories and website content updates.
- Manage YouFibre’s presence on digital review platforms such as Google reviews, Trustpilot and Facebook, regularly looking at ways to improve scores.
- Work closely with key internal stakeholders, Marketing colleagues and senior managers, supporting each other and understanding needs/requirements in relation to social media activity, including upcoming product releases, marketing campaigns or other brand messages.
- Work with creative agencies and designers to deliver an integrated content strategy.
- Ensure effective budget control, where appropriate, always remaining under customer acquisition cost & marketing acquisition cost, as defined by Finance
- Build a deep understanding of YouFibre’s target audiences, creating key insights, and using the lessons to generate clear actions to drive growth
- Where possible, take a data-centric approach, reporting on any ROI and identifying opportunities to increase new customer orders, with both existing and new market segments.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience managing business social media channels
- Excellent verbal and written communication, including copywriting
- Strong stakeholder and customer management skills, a commercial mindset, and an ability to work cross-functionally
- An interest in, and knowledge about technology, and start-ups
- Ability to drive a strategic approach, whilst being able to roll up your sleeves and be hands on
- A creative flair coupled with a data-driven, scientific approach to marketing
- A start-up mentality – a relationship builder, flexible, dedicated, and hardworking
- A self-starter, with an ability to work remotely
