Your opportunity

We are seeking a highly creative Social Media Executive who is passionate about social media marketing, feel-good food and animals to join our team in the UK. You will help manage our social media presence across all our platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn.

The Social Media Executive will work closely with the Social Media Manager to ensure each platform delivers on the agreed social media strategy, supporting the development and growth of VFC’s social media presence and community. The role will require a high level of creativity and copywriting, basic design skills, strong data analysis and passion for all things social media.

We are already making great progress expanding globally, launching in the UK, US, Netherlands, Iceland, Belgium and Spain, and big plans to launch in even more markets. The successful candidate will sit within the marketing team and report to the Social Media Manager. They will be pivotal in supporting the creative execution of the brand across all social media touchpoints.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Creating engaging and high quality organic content for all our social media channels, including Reels and TikToks
  • Writing creative social media copy that inspires, educates and engages.
  • Helping develop and deliver the monthly social media content plan, providing creative and wacky content ideas
  • Managing and responding to our social media community and email enquiries in a timely manner, with the assistance of our Social Media Community Assistant
  • Working with third parties, such as content creators, video editors and agencies for content creation
  • Helping manage highly impactful influencer marketing campaigns
  • Assisting with tracking insights and social media analytics and writing monthly, detailed reports on social media performance to determine efficacy and areas for improvement
  • Active social listening to keep up with pop culture and trends, to ensure VFC’s content is relevant and reactive
  • Monitoring industry trends and platform updates to improve and optimise VFC’s social media activity
  • Maintain industry, business, and product knowledge to stay ahead of the curve and provide the best possible customer experience.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 year’s experience in a social media marketing or content role
  • Ideally from an agency background
  • Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with all leading social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Strong creative copywriting skills – sass and wit are essential.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to articulate complex topics around veganism, animal agriculture and sustainability to a variety of audiences.
  • Basic graphic design skills using Photoshop (essential)
  • Experience in ideating, planning and creating highly engaging and creative social media content.
  • Comfortable being in front of the camera and creating fun content.
  • Good knowledge of Hootsuite or similar social media management tools.

Experience with high impact influencer marketing campaigns.

  • Proven track record in the delivery of KPI-driven results.
  • Ability to create and edit video content (desirable, but not essential).
  • Ability to identify and analyse relevant social media data and analytics, providing insight and learnings.
  • Highly organised and impeccable attention to detail. Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and comfortable in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and proactive attitude.
