The Role…
The communications and marketing assistant will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the marketing function of Soho House's luxury interiors brand, Soho Home. Supporting different marketing channels, including social, events, content, and marketing, they will help come up with new ideas to achieve our brand and commercial goals, and be influential in making them a reality. You will serve as the key point of contact for our retail and wholesale partners, and help to drive traffic and awareness around each of our retail locations. The role requires a super organised self-starter, who can juggle multiple projects and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties…
Communications and marketing calendar:
- Help come up with great marketing ideas and messages that drive growth of Soho House's retail brands.
- Supporting the Communications Manager on delivery of all marketing and brand communications.. Including: Member and customer communications; content planning; social media; retail & wholesale; brand partnerships; events & activations; trade marketing.
- Support the Social Media Manager on management of the Soho Home channels. Including delivery of Pinterest, and community management.
- Managing the marketing and production critical path to ensure all deadlines are met across different teams and everyone is aligned on key milestones.
- Briefing design assets & materials with internal design teams. Briefing external partners on any print and production requirements.
- Briefing all content and photoshoot production requirements against key deadlines.
- Identify new talent partnerships for us to work. Member and talent liaison and look book creation
Retail marketing and events:
- Help drive traffic and awareness of our physical retail location, including local marketing activity.
- Work with wholesale partners to identifying new marketing opportunities and share seasonal assets
- Working with the retail and events team to plan and deliver in store activations
- Liaise with stores teams on new customer initiatives and seasonal campaign briefings
- Support Studio events manager in each location to align with key brand messages
Team support:
- Providing admin and project management support to ensure all communications are delivered on time, on brand and deliver against commercial and brand success.
- Monitor competitors, events and trends to develop general industry knowledge
- Budget tracking to ensure organic budgets on track, flagging with managers if necessary.
Requirements / Qualifications...
- 2+ years in retail marketing and communications
- Preferred experience or passion for the interiors and beauty industry
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to meet deadlines sufficiently with strong prioritisation skills
- Combine creative and commercial thinking
- Project and critical path management
- Basic knowledge of creative and production process
