Social Media Assistant Remote

Cats Protection
Full Time Remote 25766 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Available Job Today We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Media Assistant to join our Digital Engagement team. You will join us working 35 hours per week, on a permanent basis and will be based remotely. In return you will receive a salary of up to £25,765.62 per annum plus excellent benefits.

Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity with a nationwide network of adoption and homing centres, volunteer-run branches and charity shops. During 2021, we helped 137,000 cats and kittens. That's the equivalent of around 375 cats a day!

Cats Protection’s Digital Engagement team, based in the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate, looks after social media, email marketing and video production for our popular social media channels. Small but busy, the Digital Engagement team produces informative cat care videos, social media content and emails and works hard at building an engaged community of cat lovers online so that we can talk all things “cat” with supporters and promote better feline welfare across the UK. No two days are the same – with a busy content calendar, one day could involve jumping on a trend, the next we could be launching a major national campaign. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with lots of teams across Cats Protection so it’s the place to be if you’re a people person!

Responsibilities of our Social Media Assistant:

Our Social Media Assistant will support Cats Protection’s Social Media team with the day-to-day running of Cats Protection’s social media profiles, supporting the social media strategy, as well as providing administrative support to the team.

What we’re looking for in our Social Media Assistant:

  • Experience of using social media in a professional capacity (i.e. not solely for personal use)
  • Experience of working to brand guidelines and policy constraints
  • Creative with a desire to learn/stay abreast of constant changes in social media
  • Knowledge and understanding of social media principles
  • Organised and efficient with an ability to prioritise

What we can offer you:

  • salary of up to £25,765.62 per annum
  • generous annual leave entitlement
  • contribution pension scheme
  • life assurance scheme
  • range of health benefits including private healthcare
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • and more

Join us as our Social Media Assistant and know you are helping to make a real difference to cats and kittens across the UK!

Closing date: 4th April 2023

Virtual interview date: Week commencing 10th April 2023
