Compensation: Part-Time (3 days per week), Competitive Salary + Holiday

Our core values:

  • Extreme ownership - taking responsibility for every outcome within your control.
  • Giving back - support each other, give back to our community, and work on charitable causes that are aligned with our vision.

The calm collective brand:

Our vision is to spread awareness, normalise mental health, and stop people from feeling isolated through our products and community. Our mission is to be the most customer-centric, impactful, and well-known mental-health-focused brand in the U.K. for regular people.

Background:

Founded by Matt and Rebecca in mid-2022, Calm Collective is an anxiety-relieving jewellery brand that sells its in-house designed fidget rings and necklaces to a UK/EU customer base. Our vision is to spread awareness, normalise mental health, and stop people from feeling isolated through our products and community.

We’re looking to bring on an experienced brand community manager as our first hire to unlock the next phase of growth in 2024. Reporting directly to the co-founders, you will have full ownership of our organic social (predominantly Instagram), influencer marketing, and email marketing campaign strategies in order to nurture an engaged community of brand evangelists.

This is an extremely rewarding opportunity. You will take on start-up-style responsibilities and see the direct impact of your work on a day-to-day basis.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Strategising and managing our organic social media accounts, with a key focus on Instagram (feed and stories). You will be responsible for coming up with a schedule plan that’s aligned with our vision;
  • Strategising our email marketing campaigns to maximise revenue while at the same time contributing to our community;
  • Running influencer marketing campaigns in order to collate content for our feed posts;
  • Lead collaborations with complementary brands or charities to strengthen our brand positioning;
  • Taking initiative - if you think something is needed to drive the brand forward, you do what it takes to action it;
  • Communicating with the 2 co-founders on a daily basis with ideas/progress updates;
  • Keep up to date with eCommerce best practices of tomorrow through training, research, etc;
  • Turning new customers into brand evangelists;
  • Take a brand-first approach in everything that you do. Before you do something, ask yourself “Does this align with the vision and mission of the Calm Collective brand?”.

Success in 6 months:

  • Have a proven performance record across our organic channels. You have grown our Instagram followers to 50,000 and have transformed the feel of our Instagram feed;
  • Pushing management/leadership. Questioning the way we do things and bringing new ideas to the table on a weekly basis when it comes to growing our community;
  • Have undertaken a new initiative of your own that has turned out to be a success;
  • The co-founders are overheard saying, “The new brand community manager is smashing it, I can’t believe how lucky we were to have found them…”.

Success in 12 months:

  • Have an immaculate track record in driving the brand forward;
  • Have led a brand collaboration that has put Calm Collective on the map, and well on its way to becoming a household name;
  • Have taken on and excelled at more senior responsibilities, allowing the company to hire a junior community manager. You are now well on your way to leading your own team.

Attitude: You,

  • will take complete ownership of your successes and failures;
  • have a proactive approach and are able to lead yourself;
  • have exceptional attention to detail;
  • are able to self-manage and prioritise tasks efficiently;
  • have excellent communication skills;

Experience & skills:

  • You need at least 2 years of experience in a related e-commerce community management role or similar;
  • Previous experience within a 7-figure brand is preferred;
  • A broad understanding of e-commerce and brand building;
  • A proven track record of growing social media accounts in the past.

The benefits of working at Calm Collective:

  • Part-time salary of £10-14 per hour depending on experience.
  • Ongoing mentoring and skill development. You will get many hours of 1-on-1 coaching/mentorship with our co-founders to ensure you’re always learning.
  • Start-up sensibilities. You have the rare opportunity to work with an 18-month-old DTC brand and have a huge impact on how we do things.
  • Flexible, hybrid working. We’re a modern business, with trust and respect for everyone who works here.
  • Being a part of our future growth.

Calm Collective is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone’s voices are heard. We respect and value all differences (seen and unseen) and strongly encourage applications from all backgrounds, which will be considered regardless of race, colour, religion or belief, gender expression, sexual orientation, national origin, pregnancy and maternity, disability, or age.
