We’re looking to strengthen our existing team and are recruiting for a Small Change Project Manager. Your role will focus on managing and delivering small change and business as usual (BAU) IT projects within Card Factory. You will report directly to the IT Programme Manager and collaborate with the Transformation Office to standardize and mature project delivery methods.
As a small Change Project Manager, you will also work with various stakeholders, CIO and IT Directors, Exec Director for Transformation Office and Programme Managers. It’s important to be able to build strong working relationships and work in a collaborative way across various teams.
We offer smart hybrid working, allowing the successful candidate the opportunity to work from home, but also in our Wakefield office, great links to the MI and free onsite parking.
Main Responsibilities- Owning and delivering all small change and BAU IT Projects, ensuring accountability for project delivery
- Managing projects using agile, Scrum, Kanban and waterfall methodologies
- Providing line management and leadership for project teams, motivating, coaching and developing colleagues
- Delivering projects of varying size and complexity across the full project lifecycle, including creating and operating governance with appropriate monitoring and controls
- Owning IT resource demand, capacity, utilization reporting, while supporting resource planning and allocation
- Collaborate with matrixed project teams based on/off shore (business analysts, product owners, designers, developers, testers, infrastructure and in life operational teams
The Ideal Candidate
- Demonstrable experience in Project/Programme related roles, focusing on IT Delivery ideally in a Retail or Fintech organization
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of methodologies that will work effectively in a transformation and technology delivery program
- Ability to work autonomously and be self-driven, with a strong ownership mind set
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
