The opportunity
Project: The SEE lead will play a key role in managing the project’s skills, employment and education programme (as per WI 2100) and achieving the targets agreed with the client. The role holder will have the responsibility for the updating of the MDJV SEE plan and with the project planners, in the creation and analysis of the workforce and skills forecasts. The role will also support the stakeholder and engagement lead, the wider project in managing relationships with key stakeholders and in achieving the undertakings and assurances / project commitments and the client’s key performance indicators (especially the 4% apprentice target).
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing and getting acceptance from the client for the MDJV SEE Plan and ensuring that it is updated on an annual basis.
Developing and sharing with the client the labour and skills forecasts in accordance with WI 2100 and ensuring that they are updated on a quarterly basis.
Ensuring that reporting on all SEE activities is provided to the client through the agreed processes to quarterly deadlines (PMU 6 / common data ingestion platform) and other ad-hoc reports on SEE performance.
Initiating and managing SEE related activities in support of achieving the targets set out in the MDJV SEE plan, particularly in relation to apprenticeships.
Working with the project HR manager to ensure SEE strategies are embedded in in project HR practices.
Working with the commercial team to ensure that SEE requirements and targets are embedded in all subcontracts.
Providing advice guidance and training in all matters regarding SEE to MDJV colleagues.
Working with sub-contractors to ensure that SEE policies and procedures are incorporated in their employment and training arrangements and that performance is being measured and targets achieved.
Develop the project’s SEE policies and procedures in compliance with the client’s needs.
Periodically update SEE processes in project quality management system with the MDJV Euston team.
Ensuring that the stakeholder record management system is regularly updated and provides a clear summary of current discussions with external stakeholders.
Working with community and engagement lead and the communications manager to create copy for communications including e/bulletins, newsletters and participate in updating community meetings.
Working with EDI lead in promoting fairness, dignity and respect on the project and the ER manager to ensure that supply chain is engaged with and involved in SEE initiatives.
Developing and maintaining a stakeholder key risks and issues log to be used to report to senior leadership.
Regularly updating any SEE staff in either of the Mace or Dragados parent companies.
About you
You are educated to degree in a relevant field and have previous experience of SEE projects, programmes and major construction / development projects. You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
