On behalf of Rolls Royce, AMS are looking for over 20x Skilled Fitter positions to cover initial a 12-month contract based at their Derby site. The Fitter will be working on a 3-shift pattern Monday to Friday of morning, afternoons and nights.

Purpose of the Skilled Fitter Role:

Fitting, instrumentation and/or modules using the direction of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
The Skilled Fitter will raise non-conformance issues.
Working to set deadlines to achieve performance targets and Customer delivery commitments.
Working in a compliant manner to ensure that products are built to the correct technical and quality specifications.
Ensuring Health & safety is kept to a high standard, at all times
Participating in continual review and improvement processes for the business to identify best practice.

What we require from the candidate:

It is essential that candidates possess a recognised Time-served apprenticeship within an engineering discipline AND either a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification and can produce the certificates of BOTH required qualifications.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience in using a variety of engineering equipment and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply instructions correctly to achieve required product quality.
Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate relevant fitting experience of engine components.
Knowledge of lean principles and process basics.
