Project: A ~£20bn nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which is currently going through its final development phases, with a view to start construction in 2023. When complete, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years which, along with renewables, will support EDF’s objective to help Britain achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We now have an excellent opportunity for a site security manager who will lead, manage and co-ordinate all security activities at the site and the associated developments.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing and coordinating security activities and arrangements at the site inclusive of the main construction area, temporary construction area, ancillary construction area and associated developments.
Responsible for the delivery of the plan through a risk-based security regime using internally and externally directed and agreed standards, whilst enabling the construction programmes to undertake their scheduled work.
Responsible for embedding project security culture, mitigating the negative impact of adversarial risk within the construction areas of the construction site and for protecting the project, people, property and information. This incorporates assuring that supply chain construction partners deliver their work scope to contractual and site security requirements including implementation of the CSSP.
Being accountable for creating and delivering risk-proportionate and cost-efficient security arrangements for the project that meet commercial risk management and regulatory security requirements. The post is delivery focused and holds full responsibility for the site and associated developments site security.
About you
You are a hands on leader with proven leadership and managerial skills at a high level, particularly in security within construction, nuclear or civils. Your technical expertise, knowledge and experience of security arrangements applicable to a large construction project will allow you to understand and communicate to a range of audiences. You have detailed knowledge of the end to end process of large site security projects will be key, along with excellent management and communication ability.
