We have a fantastic new opportunity for a forward thinker to join our team in Thornbury (Bristol) as a Site Optimisation Manager.

What’s the Opportunity?
As a Site Optimisation Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of change across the site from central & depot initiatives, through the optimisation of processes. As an analytical and proactive individual, you'll possess a strong drive to implement better, more efficient processes. You’ll be a highly organised individual who can communicate across all levels of the business to ensure business critical messages are delivered accurately.
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Hours: 38 hours
Working Pattern: Any 5 from 7 (Monday – Friday)
Location: Thornbury, BS35 3UT
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading improvement through regular, cross functional engagement sessions
- Collaborates with the wider warehouse function and engages with the Warehouse optimisation team to deliver compelling and business led change effectively.
- Drive continuous improvement processes
- Identifies areas of improvement and engages the appropriate stakeholders to achieve measurable results
- Planning and organising projects with people and safety at the heart of decision making.
- Share best practice with other sites to improve overall business standard
- Responsible for operational processes. Maintain and improve methods & performance levels to maximise efficiency of operation in line with account KPI's.
- Ensure all requirements relating to safety, health, environment and quality are being fully implemented in the warehouse or escalate.
Who You’ll Be
- Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of a warehouse function within the FMCG Distribution Industry.
- A background operating at a management level is a must.
- A passion for encouraging teamwork, focusing on creating an innovative culture where all employees can voice their suggestions and ideas.
- Excellent team project management skills.
- An analytical mind-set.
- An ability to drive a program of continuous improvement.
- Experience in creating process improvement methods
- You'll come in to contact with Trade Unions (previous experience with this would be beneficial)
- Some flexibility
- Preferred: Continuous improvement experience (lean / six-sigma) or project management qualification
