The Vacancy

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to be responsible for the delivery of a first a class construction service for the company’s customers and client organisations whilst leading on the company’s new build construction activities including contract administration, financial monitoring and delivery of business targets.

This is an important role in which you will:

  • Lead, motivate and communicate agreed performance targets within the team

  • Direct and motivate staff and contractors and promote good employee relations within the team

  • Assess the workload through forecasting and performance measurement to determine priorities and operational requirements

  • Ensure all staff and contractors maintain their material stock and perform regular checks to ensure the vehicle / plant is managed and maintained

  • Investigate areas of high cost

  • Assist in the preparation, planning and implementation of the training needs

  • Be a visible leader and member of the HMS leadership team.


To be successful in this role you will:

  • Hold a construction related qualification or equivalent along with a Health and Safety Qualification (SMSTS or IOSH) and CSCS card

  • Have good knowledge of construction and technologies and site health and safety awareness

  • Have a good understanding of maintenance contractual requirements

  • Have experience from within a management / supervisory position that includes performance measures and the development of staff through coaching

  • Be flexible in your approach with the ability to change direction at short notice

  • Be capable of taking responsibility for own workload
