Are you experienced in site supervision and have a background in either water, gas or electrical work? Do you possess strong organisational skills and the ability to influence others? If so, the Multi-Utility Site Manager position may be suitable for you.
UK Power Solutions is seeking a committed Multi-Utility Site Manager to oversee the construction of new Electricity, Gas & Water mains and service installation on behalf of a successful ICP with a national presence. In this role, you will serve as the representative for UKPS and ensure that customer-requested works are carried out efficiently and within budget through on-site supervision, management of materials, and a diligent approach.
Role Responsibilities
- Effectively manage and take overall responsibility of multiple sites, ensuring regular site visits and confirmation of materials/site preparedness.
- Supervise UKPS internal staff and subcontractors in the delivery of the on-site elements of new Electricity, Gas & Water mains, and service connections.
- Ensure works are carried out in line with UKPS HSEQ standards.
- Ensure all works are completed to the relevant IDNO, DNO, GDN, IGT & Water companies standards
- Undertake on site safety and quality audits, recording and closing out any project non-conformances.
- Management of any corrective actions raised against your projects
- Maintain an understanding of client/project requirements and timescales and ensure these are met.
- Liaise with Clients Site Manager(s) and support them with regards to programming, call offs and management of onsite works.
- Provide accurate information to assist back-office staff with Work Instructions, Risk Assessments and Method Statements for craft teams.
- Maintain up to date project completion information to assist with accurate live project work to date records.
- Liaise with UKPS Electric, Gas & Water technical teams where required regarding energisations and live mains extensions etc.
- Manage project materials in line with the project budget and UKPS’ processes and procedures including the management of live on-site material records and storage.
- Regularly communicate with the MU Team and provide reports as required.
About you
- Experience in site supervision within the Utilities distribution industry is desirable.
- Previous authorisations within the utilities industry would be an advantage.
- Previous experience of craft skills working on distribution networks would be advantageous.
- Qualification in Electrical, Gas or Water would be an advantage but not essential
- Solid organisational ability and strong influencing skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, with good communication skills.
- Customer service orientated, and a desire to achieve the best results and contribute to the success of UKPS.
- Problem solver and solution provider.
- The following would be beneficial, but training can be provided as required; SSSTS, EUSR or equivalent, First Aid, Manual Handling
