BH Construction Co. Ltd. was formed in 1990 and is a privately owned company with over 33 years experience in providing Civil Engineering/Building Services to the private and public sector. Now employing over 65 people local to the Humber Bank and surrounding areas.
We have a wide variety of small and large clients and we specialise in working on Top Tier COMAH sites with a proven track record of providing a good quality job, within budget and most importantly, safely.
We have experience in highway construction, deep sewer installation, cofferdams, heavy foundations, piling, jetty works and factory units.
Our clients include many blue chip companies within the local area for whom we have been working for many years.
Our aim is to continue to build our company based on traditional family values in a modern day construction industry, which can carry out and complete projects in a safe, correct manner, in order to achieve the highest quality of finish.
Job description
You will be primarily responsible for undertaking the surveying and setting out on various Sites reporting directly to the Senior Site Management. Other duties will include but not be limited to:
· Liaising with the Workforce, Clients and Sub-Contractors
· Ensuring our high standards of Health & Safety are maintained
· Ensuring our projects remain on programme and on budget
· The reading of Construction Drawings
· Performing mathematical calculations to aid in your setting out and surveying role
· Support the Site Team with Material Take-offs
· Ordering of some materials
· Accurate record keeping including ITPs and As-builts
· Performing checks on a variety of Survey Equipment
Our expectations and requirements:
· A full driving Licence
· A strong/positive work ethic
· Be able to work in a team
· Good and clear communication skills
· Using a variety of Computer packages e.g. Office, primarily Word, Excel and Power point.
· The use of 2D CAD skills to produces sketches, as-builts and records (not essential)
· Be qualified in Industry related Certificates/Diplomas/Degrees e.g. HNC/HND Construction & the Built Environment, BSc Civil Engineering
Package:
· Full Time (based on a minimum 45 hour week)
· 22 Annual Holiday Days and Bank Holidays
· A site Van/Car or Mileage
· Overtime (subject to workload)
· A discretionary annual bonus subject to personal and company performance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
