Livingstone Academy Bournemouth (LAB) is an innovative new school for children aged 4 to 18 which opened in September 2021 in the heart of Bournemouth. Our ambition is to ensure that all young people leave school equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in their future lives and careers in the digital age. Young people must be creative, critical thinkers who can create technology as well as consume it.
LAB is going into its third year in a new building complex in Lansdowne in Central Bournemouth serving Reception, Years 1, 7 and 8 with up to 400 students. At capacity, we will have 1510 students, serving ages from 4 to 18.
We are now looking to recruit a Site Assistant required for an immediate start
Working under the direction of the Academy Site Team/Facilities Manager, you will need to ensure that the school’s buildings, site, and furnishings are safe, secure, and maintained to Health and Safety standards as defined by the Academy and Health & Safety legislation.
Hours for this role are 37 hours a week 52 weeks a year - Monday to Thursday 10:30-18:30pm, Friday 11:00-18:30pm
We would welcome applicants who have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and can demonstrate a commitment to providing a quality service.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has experience of general maintenance of buildings / site, basic DIY/handyman, repair and decorating experience, cleaning and general porterage experience and someone who has awareness and understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
