Job title: Chef
Pay: Competitive, DOE
Contract: Full time 45 hours

Division/Department: Kitchen, Back of House
Reports to: Head Chef
Job Purpose: As a SHORYU Chef, you will help your line managers with daily tasks in order to run the site smoothly. You will learn all the tricks of the trade, from Ramen making, to Sushi rolling and Sashimi filleting. Previous experience in a commercial Kitchen is essential, and training is provided.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work effectively alongside the Back of house superstars at SHORYU Oxford
- Producing Japanese food to the highest standard
- Sushi and Sashimi creation
- Filleting fish, and preparing sushi to fill customer orders
- Take regular inventory of his restaurant's food supply, including fish, rice and other materials
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in Japanese cuisine would be a ideal

A 2 hours trial shift is required before employment can be considered.
