About Us:

Help deliver incredible experiences for disabled children across two London boroughs

At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we are focused on putting our residents and local businesses at the heart of every decision. From the policy decisions that we're making through to the services that we’re delivering, it’s vital that we put the needs of our community first. We want to give everyone a great quality of life, with access to a comfortable home, sustainable and desirable employment options, and the chance to live and work in a healthy and safe environment. And our Children’s Services play a vital role in achieving these goals.

The Role:

As Bi-Borough Short Breaks Front Door, you’ll be part of our Short Breaks offering, which supports disabled children and young people 0-18 to receive the care they need, explore new opportunities, broaden their social network, and have fun. This provides their carers with important respite to support the rest of their family or look after themselves. We’re a friendly, knowledgeable team dedicated to improving our capabilities for the families we serve.

The role encompasses both administrative and financial duties that affect nearly all our operations, giving you the chance to play a real part in achieving our wider vision of supporting every child with a disability in the bi-borough area.

In the course of your work, you’ll organise meetings, arrange cover, collate key information for panel members, take meeting minutes, support on reviews and assist with project management. You’ll also process invoices and carry out key financial procedures, all while helping us develop new systems to improve our efficiency.

Please refer to the Job Description for more information

About You:

You’ll have solid administrative experience including multi-agency working, using databases, dealing with the public and managing your own workload.

You should have strong communication and collaboration skills, combined with good organisational skills, IT literacy and the ability to establish strong working relationships. A highly motivated self-starter, you’ll be open to new working practices and ways of thinking. Ideally, you’ll come from a role in business support, care or a disabled children’s centre as a playworker, though this isn’t essential.

You should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

In return, you can look forward to a package that includes a competitive salary, a high-quality pension scheme, generous annual leave and excellent learning and development opportunities.

Please apply online explaining how you meet the requirements set out in the person specification and job description. CV’s alone will not be considered for this role.

Please do not upload any documents, including CVs/Covering Letters or supporting statements, as these documents will not be reviewed and could result in your application not being shortlisted.
