We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team at Mother Ivey's Bay Holiday Park as a shop assistant for the 2023 season. We are the first accredited 'Living Wage' Holiday Park and believe our team is as important to us as our customers. About us:
Mother Ivey's Bay Holiday Park is an award-winning holiday park based near Padstow on the north coast of Cornwall. We provide a combination of touring, camping and hire caravans from Easter through to the end of October each year. Mother Ivey's Bay has its own stunning golden sandy beach with turquoise waters.
The Job:
We are looking for a shop assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to work in our onsite shop. The shifts will include days, evenings and weekends on a rota basis.
Duties will include:
- Preparing hot and cold food for take away, this includes cooking and serving pasties, sausage rolls, croissants and cakes.
- Operating the coffee machine
- Receiving, unpacking and arranging deliveries in our store
- Processing customer payments at the checkout point/till
- Cleaning and rearranging the store after hours.
- Compliance with food hygiene and quality standards at all times
- Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. We do however require candidates to have good communication skills and show motivation and competence.
- The job can be quite demanding so a certain level of fitness would be required.
- It is essential that the successful candidate can work well as part of a team.
- The normal working hours are 3 x 12 hour shifts totaling 34.5 hour per week, alternatively the hours are 4 x 12 hour shifts on a three week rotation with an alternate weekend day off. The fortnightly pay is £12.00 per hour plus £1 per hour end of season bonus.
- The Shop opening hours are between 0800-1800 in low season and 0800-2000 in high season.
- We have on site shared accommodation for staff.
