The British Red Cross is looking for a dynamic Shop Assistant to join our friendly charity shop team in our Peterhead shop. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your retail skills whilst contributing to our cause of helping people in the local community, across the UK, and abroad.

A day in the life of a Shop Assistant will involve:
- In this hands-on role, you will support the shop manager to run a profitable, customer-focussed shop that is the 'window of the British Red Cross' on the high street.
- From working on the shop floor, to coordinating activity “behind the scenes”, no two days are the same.
- You will help to create a brilliant shopping environment and provide an excellent customer experience in store.

- Working on the shop floor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, operate the till, and create eye-catching displays.
- Behind the scenes, you will be responsible for sorting stock and preparing items for display.
- You have previous experience of working in a retail environment and are confident with cash handling duties
- You're a strong communicator who thrives on delivering excellent customer service and enjoys meeting lots of different people
- You're commercially savvy who understands the importance of hitting targets
- Understand and anticipate each customer's needs and delight them with the service provided
