The Canterbury Oast Trust are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic Flexi Shop and Admissions Assistants to help with the smooth running of the Gift Shop and Farm Admissions based at the The Rare Breeds Center in Woodchurch. Could that be you?

The Shop and Admissions Assistant vacancy
- Hourly rate: £10.26 (£7.38 - aged 16 & 17) plus a weekend allowance of £0.70 per hour
- Flexi (Casual) contract
- Ad-hoc hours allocated on a monthly rota to cover weekdays, weekends, bank holidays and school holidays
- Full training will be provided
The Rare Breeds Centre and Canterbury Oast Trust
The South of England Rare Breeds Centre (RBC) is a busy tourist attraction with more than 110,000 visitors a year. Located at the RBC, the gift shop sells a great range of gifts and local produce.
The shop supports the work of the Canterbury Oast Trust in its provision of care and support for adults with learning disabilities across Kent and East Sussex .
The gift shop also provides valuable training opportunities for adults with learning disabilities enabling them to develop their retail and customer service skills.
The Role
As a Shop and Admissions Assistant you will contribute to the smooth running of the shop and admissions within the Rare Breeds Centre.
This role involves dealing with the general public and working alongside adults with learning disabilities as they develop their retail skills.
About You
As a Shop and Admissions Assistant you will ideally have/be:
- Previous experience in a similar retail environment
- Experience of handling customer queries or complaints in person or over the telephone
- A friendly and engaging personality
- Work well in a team environment
- Flexible and reliable
