Angus Dundee are a long established Scotch Whisky producer with 2 distilleries and a maturation, bulk spirits and bottling facility in the central belt of Scotland. Our company supplies high quality bottled product worldwide and an opportunity has arisen based at our Coatbridge bottling and warehousing facility for an experienced Shipping Co-ordinator. This is a key role reporting to the Shipping Manager of the company and will be involved with the setting up of freight requirements and creating all associated documentation.
Shipping Coordinator Responsibilities
Responsible for arranging shipments of cased (bottled) products within the UK and worldwide.
Key tasks include:
1. Liaising with all internal stakeholders, freight forwarders/shipping lines, and customers to manage and expedite shipments.
2. Preparing all export documentation and invoices to customers.
3. Liaising with Health and Public authorities regarding documentation.
4. Maintaining accurate and detailed records.
5. Be aware of and keep up to date with all relevant regulations and guidance with regard to international freight and the movement of bonded and dangerous goods.
6. Maintenance of numerous schedules on excel spreadsheets
Key skills required
1. Experience in working in shipping departments dealing with numerous export markets and also with Duty paid products.
2. Must be numerate, with strong attention to detail skills.
3. Able to work under pressure.
4. A high degree of integrity, honesty, and initiative in everything you do.
5. Strong systems background.
