Our manufacturing client is currently looking for a Process/Production Operator on a temporary on going basis.

Job Specification:

• Operate the drying or services operation in plant production facilities in a safe and efficient manner to meet business objectives.
• To ensure compliance with all procedures, systems and instructions relating to the safe operation of the plants and the quality of product produced.
• Drying operation would be responsible for 2 drying plants, Silo area, Transfers, On-line sampling and testing, Blend sampling and testing, Tanker loading, First line maintenance, Effluent pits, and big bagging
• Services operation would be responsible for VCM vapouriser and Unloading area supervision, Site services, Cooling Towers, Refrigerated Water, VCM / DMW storage, Compressed air, Effluent Pits, First line maintenance, Additive Preparation, Forklift Truck Inspection
• Monitor trends in plant performance and with the team identify areas of poor performance and take or recommend remedial action
• Identify maintenance needs and consult with Shift Manager to ensure safe and efficient operations including issue of work permits
• Development and maintenance of safety awareness and standards to achieve sustained improvement in safety performance through BBS
• Play an active role in the Company improvement process to promote excellent environmental and quality performance and contribute to cost reduction projects
• Ensure an excellent standard of housekeeping across the plant

Person Specification:

• Minimum of 5 GCSE grade C or above and NVQ level 2 or above in Process Plant operation (or similar).
• Previous process or production experience in any industry
• Familiar with distributed control system operation would be desirable but training in the installed control systems will be provided.

Shift Pattern would be 2 days, 2 lates and 2 night shifts then 4 days off

Job Type: Temporary contract

Salary: £17.00-£19.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekend availability
