Within our Burton’s group, we have 6 bakery sites across the UK, located in Blackpool, Livingston, Edinburgh, Dorset, Isle of Arran and Llantarnam, with our head office in St Albans. In total we employ circa 2,100 people around across our locations.

What does your typical day look like?
You will be responsible for delivery of the site production plan, whilst ensuring our people are kept safe , well and competent. To develop a continuous improvement culture that results in high performance . Supporting and driving improvement plans, delivering site budgets and keeping our customers happy .
Other key actions will be but not limited to:
- adhere to and deliver the site labour standard, managing overtime figures in line with budget
- Ensure our people are trained to run the lines efficiently ad to legal requirements
- keep our people safe, ensure risk assessments , safety inspections and accident investigations are completed to the correct standard and timescales
- Manage absence to deliver budget
- resolve any time & attendance or payroll queries
What are the key ingredients needed for the role?
You will need previous experience of managing a production area/ multiple lines in a 24/7 environment .working with continuous improvement culture
You will need to be confident with maximising the potential of others including development and performance management.
