Introduction
Lineage Logistics are the world's largest provider of temperature-controlled logistics.
We store, prepare, and move food-based products for a variety of customers from major retailers to schools, hospitals, and restaurants.
Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking a Pick Manager at our Holmewood site in Chesterfield. To supervise and manage the pick operation, as well as working with leadership to make sure our company and customer standards of service, quality, safety, and productivity are met.
Shift Patterns Available
- Monday - Friday 08:00-16:30 but will require some flexibility to work other shifts when required which may include night time working
The role
In this role you will:
- Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Manage operational procedures to include the incoming and outgoing shipments, handle the organisation of merchandise, and maintain warehouse inventory
- Plan production schedules and resource allocation for completion of job assignments while keeping time and production records
- Track and send reports to designated plant personnel
- Track warehouse activities including sales, record control, and purchasing to ensure availability of products
- Ensure accidents are investigated according to the company's accident investigation procedures
- Assist with resolving employee concerns and maintain open lines of communication with all levels of the organisation
- Be working in a large freezer environment of -20 degrees for some of your shift.
- Be a point of contact for a large customer and build good customer relationships
Who we're looking for:
- Someone who has previous experience within a similar warehouse management or supervisory position with over 50x staff members to manage.
- A person who has worked with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- You to be able to communicate clearly with other team members in English
- Have at least 2 years of management experience
- Ideally someone who doesn't mind the cold but we do provide you with full PPE including salopettes, freezer coat, freezer spec boots, hat, snood and gloves to keep you warm.
