We are recruiting a Shift Manager

About the Opportunity:
We are now looking to recruit a Shift Manager working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights 7-7) within the Blow Moulding Department at Muller Bellshill to enable the team to deliver targets and continuously improve performance by coaching and developing our people.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work standards are met, aligned with company policies and procedures
  • Champion for instilling high levels of personal safety awareness through workforce, striving for improvements in systems and procedures
  • Ensure full compliance in all areas of H&S, quality, environment (waste) ad production/supply
  • Support appropriate managers with absence and performance management issues. Managing disciplines of team, including disciplinary procedures
  • Setting team / employee objectives and targets for continued improvement performance
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing team members, delivering development plans for own team aligned with business objectives
  • Creates a purpose, vision and clear direction around business objectives for the team
Priorities
  • Ensure STAR/Accidents are captured with corrective actions closed
  • Day to day responsibility for driving improved site performance and team discipline
  • Prioritise workload and team to drive continued improvement actions
  • Drive waste and cost impacts to optimise control costs
  • Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction of issues
  • Ensure constructive handover and capture of all issues is complete
  • Regular Health & Safety, Quality, Hygiene inspections and sign off
