- Contract Type: Permanent / 40 Hours Per Week
- Salary: circa £36,600 plus Bonus
- Location: Liverpool Depot, Sugarbrook Drive, Stonebridge, Liverpool, L11 2BD
- Days of Work: 5 out of 7 to include Weekends
- Hours of Work: Various shifts available

We are currently recruiting for experienced Shift Managers, across a variety of shifts, to strengthen our depot operations management team.
We are looking for managers who;
- Thrive working within a pressured, fast paced and time-bound environment.
- Ensuring that all relevant documentation and systems are completed accurately and in line with company and/or legislative requirements
- Working to strict KPIs (with some budgetary requirements) including Service, Cost, Productivity, Transport and Health and Safety.
- Can effectively manage and motivate their teams of drivers and/or warehouse operatives
- Are passionate about delivering a quality service
- Demonstrate the DPD DNA of Respect, Accountability, Passion, Flexibility, Hard Work and Honesty
The roles on offer are
Shift Managers - Dispatch
In this role you will be working closely with our self employed Owner Drivers (OD’s) and Employed Drivers, building a strong relationship with them and keeping the drivers engaged, well managed and motivated to ensure outstanding service is delivered. Other key accountabilities will be;
- Ensure depot target for Core Routes is achieved
- Ensure depot target Stops Per Route (SPR) is achieved
- Ensure company target for CITO is achieved
- Ensure Depot Clear is achieved
Shift Manager - Customer Experience
In this role your key responsibility will be to achieve depot objectives in terms of operational, compliance, financial, customer service and HR tasks and responsibilities, through the effective management of employees, maintenance of company operating standards and ISO operating procedures specific to own areas of accountability.
Other key accountabilities will be;
- Ensure company target for Premium Service is achieved
- Ensure there are zero Exceptions
- Ensure company target for Collection Service is achieved
- Ensure company target for Delivery ETAs is achieved
Shift Manager - Sortation (Nights)
In this role you will be managing a team of warehouse operatives throughout the night making sure that they are engaged, organised and motivated, whilst they unload the lorries that arrive into the Depot in the most efficient and timely manner. Other key accountabilities will be;
- Ensure company CAD % is achieved
- Ensure depot Throughput target is achieved in line with targeted tip time
- Ensure company target for Saturations is achieved
- Achieve depot PPMH target
What we’re looking for;
You will have experience in a fast paced operation with proven and demonstrable people management experience, involving direct accountability and responsibility for motivating and leading a high performing team, ideally within a Transport Setting. We would also expect:
- You will have strong communication skills with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage a team.
- Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management skills.
- Demonstrate high levels of resilience, self-motivation and flexibility.
- Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google chrome applications
- The ability to do comprehensive reporting, alongside analysis of data is a key requirement for this role.
- You will be highly vigilant to any unscrupulous activity taking swift and appropriate action.
- Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability.
