Shift Chargehand – Slice Line
3 Days on / 3 Days off
6.30 - 6.30 – 12 hour shifts - Days & Nights
A key member of the Retail Cheese team, taking responsibility for delivering best in class manufacturing performance. The role will be to assume responsibility for the slice line to deliver best in class standards and performance in efficiency, output, quality and safety to satisfy and exceed customer requirements.
As a Shift Chargehand, your key responsibilities will include developing staff to take ownership of their responsibilities, implement work instructions for all jobs and build a trained and flexible workforce. You will assume overall responsibility of the day to day management of the team. This will include management of holidays performance management, absence management, etc. Duties will cover the entire production process, including operating machinery and completing all mandatory quality checks with associated paperwork. In addition, you will also be responsible for the delivery of the area KPI’s, project support work and achieving departmental PIP targets.
This is an important and key role within our slice line operation and we are looking for people with energy and drive, who are keen to develop their skills, take on responsibility and be part of a successful team. Ideally candidates will have a food manufacturing background, experience of leading and managing a team, a good general level of education, possess a good work ethic, as well as being reliable co-operative and fully flexible.
