We have an immediately available opportunity for a SHE Advisor to join our Utilities, South-West Water team. In this role, you will be working on our Southwest Water , where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services. In this exciting role as SHE Advisor, you will be working closely with the General Manager and operational teams to ensure the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment and Assurance are achieved. In this crucial role, you will drive a positive proactive SHE culture, whilst ensuring Kier’s SHE procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with, as well as ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses on the framework are correctly reported and support is provided to investigate in accordance with Kier SHE policies and procedures. Location: Based in Devon/Cornwall : – Full time Responsibilities The role of SHE Advisor will aim to maintain the highest possible standards of SHEA responsibility across the business and achieve full compliance against all legal requirements, Client requirements and Kier Group SHEA IMS. You will be expected to: Perform regular site safety inspections in-line with corporate requirements and play an active role in incident investigations and ensure timely close-out of actions Provide timely information, reports and statistics to line management for inclusion in board reports Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, corporate and stakeholder requirements Monitor activities on-site via observations, site walkabouts and safety-based conversations Ensure key information from audits, alerts, inspections or regulatory visits is shared with operational teams Who are we looking for? Hold a valid Full Drivers Licence Hold a NEBOSH certificate in occupational health & safety and Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent) Hold membership of relevant professional institution (e.g., IOSH, IEMA) Demonstrable experience working within the utilities, construction or similar industry We’re all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferable skills are always welcome!
