Your New Role
Have you got an experience in Air and Electric tooling servicing? Or maybe you’re passionate about repairs? Do you have a driven attitude and work well under pressure?
If so, we have some great news! Survitec now has the perfect role for you! You will ensure that all aspects of tooling equipment are serviced, tested and inspected in accordance with the required standards and requirements successfully execute all service, repair and maintenance work in a safe, professional, efficient and profitable manner.
You will act as a Company Representative and Focal Point while on site and off, liaising with the Operations manager, sales and clients about technical queries and solutions at our Glasgow site.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Delivering servicing installation, maintenance and repair activity to quality and safety standards and according to standard work routines.
- Actively seek opportunity to drive controlled continuous improvement, identifying and communication process improvement opportunities, so they can be considered for implementation across the whole service footprint
- Assisting specialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
- Conducting preventive maintenance inspections, identifying, and diagnosing any requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
- Develop knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
- Work with Service Operations Manager to devise own monthly schedule, ensuring appropriate operational manpower
- You lead by example in creating and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment compliance with departmental and company policies, procedures and processes
- Ensure service, repair, maintenance and testing work is carried out under current Pat & HAVS legislation
- Abide by site Risk and COSHH assessments
- Responsible for workshop housekeeping
- Ensure familiarisation and compliance with the requirements of the quality, health and safety management systems
- You will be responsible for accurate reporting of accidents, near misses, and incidents within the workshop
- Familiarisation with tooling software, HAV meters and software, Pat test meters and software

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria:
- 1 + years of job-related experience
- Educated to High School Level with 4 GCSE’s or equivalent
- HNC in electrical/electronics’ would be advantageous
- Competent in servicing and repairing both electrical & Pneumatic handheld power tooling
- Be able to work autonomously on site in a safe and professional manner ensuring a high standard of work
- Expected as reasonably practicable to work throughout all areas and locations of the business as required
- Have a flexible approach regards working hours, and the ability to work extra hours if required
- The ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, via all means of communication
- Have excellent organisational skills and awareness of the requirement for efficient time planning
- Be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines and targets
- Willingness to travel
Desirable
- Experience in Air and Electric tooling servicing & Repairs advantageous
