Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > UK/IRE Area 3 - South East
The Service department is responsible for service and maintenance of the wind farms within UK. The department has an open and informal culture, where teamwork and good communication is the key to our success. You will have the opportunity to work in an exciting industry and in a team of highly motivated employees.
You will be required to develop a detailed knowledge of our wind turbines to enable you to perform daily maintenance and repairs and other field service-related tasks. Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met, you will be part of a team of service technicians working throughout the region.
Responsibilities
- Electrical and mechanical operations - also covering installation activities, usage of our systems like Condition Monitoring / Remote Control, creating follow-up orders. You will also work with high voltage
- Working to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met, you will be part of a team of technicians working throughout the region
- Carry out periodic service inspections in accordance with Vestas specifications together with component replacement (both electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic) and troubleshooting on the systems
- Working with both technicians and supervisors in the field, whilst also having regular contact with the office-based staff
- This role will be based around the Wisbech area looking after Vestas and Multi-Brand wind farms. There will be times where you will be needed on the wind farms in the rest of the operational area
Qualifications
- Proven track record in a mechanical, electrical and/or electronics background, with good solid evidence of problem-solving and fault-finding. (an AT/CT under WTSR)
- Formal qualification in one or more of the above and/or have served an apprenticeship
- The ability to work at height of 100 meters and in adverse weather conditions
- Full, clean driving license
- Fluency in English in speaking and writing
- A good level of computer literacy, used to software, apps and related

- Good verbal and written communication skills, both internal and externally

This is a new position to match the capacity management figures for the Wisbech area and to further support the expansion of the business.

This is a Monday to Friday work schedule, you will need to be based within 40 minutes from our site.
