Role Overview
The National Marketing Services Executive role will support in the creation and maintenance of local marketing tools and services used by Savills Residential offices, across the UK and internationally. Our marketing tools and services support our Residential agents in their role to win new business, market the properties on their books, drive brand awareness and build brand preference in the local markets. The role also has sole responsibility for managing the day-to-day of national advertising. The role reports into the Senior Marketing Services Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Development, production, execution and upkeep of toolkit materials
- Supports in the creation and maintenance of all materials across the channel mix in the Residential marketing toolkit and across marketing services. This material might include, but is not limited to: pitching material, brochures and related materials, direct mail and touting content, window cards, social media assets.
- Develops materials that can be used across Residential teams, in the UK and International markets, including Sales, Lettings, High Net Worth, New Homes and Rural Agency, whilst ensuring consistency of style and messaging throughout all materials.
- Supports in the upkeep of detailed guidelines for marketing materials.
- Works with our marketing business partners and stakeholders to take on feedback, stay abreast of agent requests for materials and supports in the development of strategic responses to their challenges.
- Responsible for actioning content updates across materials in response to changing market trends and conditions, to ensure the most up-to-date and relevant content is used. This will involve working with teams such as Residential Research and Content.
- Acts as a brand guardian to ensure brand integrity, consistency and high quality output across all materials.
Media planning, management and implementation for national advertising
- Creating and managing the National and London advertising booking schedules promoting Savills property in key publications and being responsible for delivering adverts on time to the highest of standards. This includes weekly publications such as Country Life, The Financial Times and London Publications.
- Regular liaison with the Savills offices who place bookings and with key internal stakeholders, such as the Head of the Country House Department, the central International Residential team, and heads of offices across the UK.
- Working closely with the Regional Marketing Managers and London Marketing team to encourage bookings, communicate the plan and supply advertising rates, producing and distributing relevant pitching material when necessary.
- Liaising with media advertising agencies and building relationships with key media owners where relevant.
Creative development, proofreading and advertising copy approval
- Create, copy write and proofread adverts. Creating and editing adverts using Adobe InDesign.
- Proofreading ads, checking content before they are supplied to publications and getting final sign-off from internal stakeholders.
- Brief and manage internal and external art workers.
Measurement, control and reporting
- Undertake effective analysis and reporting of the performance of Savills adverts within publications.
- Regular reporting pulled through from Monday.com, recording spend reports, competitor analyses and tracking advertising rotas and targeted office numbers.
Budget management and Invoices
- Process all relevant invoices, raising purchase order numbers and managing the advertising budgets and reporting back on a monthly basis.
General
- Build positive relationships with offices and departments across the Savills network whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Skills
- Knowledge and experience of using the full Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Degree qualified. A qualification in marketing is desirable, but not necessary.
- InDesign experience desirable.
- Monday.com experience desirable.
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar full-time consumer marketing role.
Skills and Knowledge
- The role involves extensive contact with colleagues within the Savills network of offices and external agencies so the successful candidate must be an excellent team player with strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external agencies where appropriate across the group.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with a good telephone manner.
- An excellent eye for detail, presentation and creative judgement is key. Attention to detail is paramount.
- Strong proofreading skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn.
- Able to work independently using own initiative in a busy environment.
- The ability to prioritize effectively and work under pressure. Flexible and able to deal with competing demands, deadlines and priorities, working on multiple projects at a time.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
- Numerate, with experience managing budgets.
- An interest in advertising.
- A positive, flexibile and can do attitude.
Team Overview
The National Marketing Services Executive role sits within the National Marketing Services team who service the Residential business across the UK and Internationally. Consisting of a Senior Marketing Services Manager and the new National Marketing Services Executive once in role, the team of two makes up part of the wider Residential Marketing team, which is approximately 20 people, and the wider Savills UK Marketing team which is approximately 75 people.
The Marketing Services team are responsible for creating and maintaining the local marketing toolkit used by Savills Residential agents across the UK and Internationally. Our toolkit is made up of material that supports our Residential agents in their role to win new business, market the properties on their books, drive brand awareness and build brand preference in the local markets. The team works closely with internal teams and stakeholders, and external agencies/suppliers to understand the needs of our agents and our clients to ensure our marketing material is fit for purpose, appropriate for use by our multiple Residential teams, and relevant and engaging for our multiple consumer types. The team are also pioneering the transformation of materials to be more digitised, supporting Savills in becoming a business with a focus on sustainability.
The team are friendly, driven and innovative, and work with multiple stakeholders and across multiple projects at once to champion high quality marketing outputs and drive results for the business.
