This is a full-time position,Monday-Friday 10:30am-7pm.
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Pre-imaging representativeto join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a Pre-imaging representative , you areresponsible for the admission set up, insurance verification, benefits, financial responsibility, obtaining authorization for services, and final review of account prior to patient registration. The pre-imaging representative responsible for timely and accurate quality assurance of Patient Access.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Responsible providing exceptional patient experiences.
- Data entry and populating intake demographic information
- Intense insurance verification
- Obtaining referrals, pre-certifications, authorizations for services rendered, including from TPA's
- Utilizing and navigating EHR software and programs.
- Proactively reviewing accounts to ensure completion for patient registration.
- Handling medical records and clinical submission while ensuring HIPPA regulations are followed.
- Verify all pertinent information is accurate such as demographics, ordering physician, copy to physician, exam scheduled, authorizations, CPT codes, and match diagnosis codes to exams.
- Collect necessary information to initiate and/or complete authorizations as required per procedure.
- Manage denial issues and track authorization process.
- Acts as a liaison between health plans, physician offices, patients, and RAYU|S staff.
- Contacts referring offices as needed to obtain clinicals, clarify orders, obtain missing information and/or related data.
- Contact patient, referring physician office via phone or fax for missing information, lab work, prior reports, prescriptions and/or referrals.
- Checking various insurance platforms for Referrals.
- Same day exam clarification and exam changes request by Technologists.
2+ years of medical office experience, preferably in diagnostic imaging
2+ years of insurance verification, eligibility, coverage, benefits, and authorization experience
Strong Health Insurance Knowledge, types of plans, and their LOB
Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Ability to work extended hours of operation
Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary professional teams
Bilingual preferred
Medical Assistant Certification preferred
