Job description – Service Manager

We are looking to recruit a Service Manager to work in services across Northumberland.

Who Are We?

We are Flexible Support Options a supported living, residential, short break and outreach organisation. We provide packages of support to adults /children with learning disabilities, physical disability, autism and complex mental health. We support People to live in their own home in their community and or to access their local community.

As a Service Manager, you will responsible for:

A group of supported living services in a geographical area

Ensuring that all documentation is completed and implemented in a personalised way, including the clients, their family and professionals.

Understand and implement the organisations policies and procedures including safer recruitment, disciplinary and grievance and safeguarding of vulnerable adults.

Provide regular supervision, appraisal and coaching to your team as well as managing their performance and development needs. Support them during difficult times and ensure they have opportunities to debrief and reflect following any incidents.

Fully implement the organisations Quality assurance systems ensuring we are fully compliant with CQC and Local Frameworks

Work with the Behavioural team and psychologists to have a current support plan and positive behaviour support plan to guide the team. Ensure the team are trained and understand the PBS guidance to enable them to prevent and respond to challenging behaviour.

Complete behavioural and incident analysis to identify trends and patterns and introduce safe systems of work

Lead by example, ensuring that you are visible to the staff and people we support and have a presence at head office.

Encourage positive risk taking and implement control measures considering the least restrictive options

Have a positive outlook, support the team and encourage them to aim for the best outcomes for the people we support

Qualifications and Experience

It is essential that the post holder achieves a relevant qualification for the post. a NVQ / Diploma level 5 in leadership and management/health and social care or to demonstrate a commitment to working towards this qualification, and successfully completing this within a time frame specified by management.

Salary starting at 28,121.60 per year.

  • Driving Licence is essential

· Applicants should have at least 2 years’ experience in a management role.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £28,121.32-£32,000.00 per year
