BT is building an Emergency Service Network that will underpin all UK blue light service providers. This role is a key enabler for the delivery of these critical services. The scale of this network will encompass the entire UK and will be available to all Emergency Services.
This role is a lead design role for the underlying Emergency Service MCX core network including a number of bespoke services tailored to our Blue Light Customers. You will be required to lead the design, integration, test and Implementation of the mission critical MCX core elements as part of the Emergency Services Network, including leading the design functions associated with vendor selection.
This role can be based in Ipswich, London, Birmingham or Bristol.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and validate in scope MCX designs to ensure architectural conformance and adherence to scope, time and budget
- Review solutions to ensure full end to end integration and hold solution accountability both within and cross domain, ensuring consistency in architecture and technical processes
- Manage a matrix team, providing technical direction and setting review processes for new and in life product and service developments, setting priorities and allocating work accordingly
- Hold accountability for design integration for both in and cross domain, ensuring that the overall solution works end to end.

What we would like to see on your CV
- Proven track record in Leading the delivery of complex network designs
- Excellent practical knowledge of mobile and IMS Architecture
- Proven experience of people management
- Excellent design documentation creation and presentation skills
- The successful candidate must be willing to undergo SC Level Government Clearance which requires residence in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
