Job description
We are seeking a Service Delivery Shunter Level 1 to join us. The main purpose of the role is to provide correctly marshalled trains at the time laid down and ensure this work is performed safely and to provide a quality and cost efficient service.
Main ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to:
- Ensure Passenger Stock is formed correctly as shown in Carriage Working notice and supplements.
- Responsible for maintaining thorough knowledge of Rules and Regulations that apply to work.
- Ensure that all tasks are performed in accordance with the depot operating instruction for movements and depot protection.
- Ensure compliance to the requirement of Engineering and Railway Group Standards and any other documents relevant to the operation of the depot.
- Comply with safety systems and procedures.
- As directed undertake snow and ice clearing duties.
- Ensure your personal safety and that of others at all times.
- Able to pass Personal Track Safety course.
- Able to pass Ground Shunting Course and maintain competency.
- Physically fit and able to pass a medical to PTS standard.
- Basic IT Skills such as Word and Excel.
- Good personal organisational skill.
- Proven ability to communicate and influence.
- Customer focused.
- Have a driving license and access to their own vehicle.
