The Library is looking for an energetic and outgoing library assistant to work in our Service Delivery Team to provide all library users with excellent customer service, and to deliver comprehensive administrative support across Library & Learning Services teams.
You should be used to working within a team where you will be able to prioritise and share the varied and busy workload. You will perform key business processes that underpin library services and operations, including enquiry desk duties, reading list administration and shelving books. You will be responsible for opening the library, so will need to be an early riser.
This position will operate out of the Sir Michael Cobham Library on Talbot Campus, and the Weston Library at our Lansdowne Campus, and you will be required to work on campus throughout the week to support the needs of students. This is a full-time position (37 hours per week). Nominal hours are from 0745 to 1600 (including breaks) during weekdays.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
