Job description
This is an interesting and varied role where you will be part of a team that manages the FM delivery at a number of sites in a geographic location. You will to be a hardworking and an enthusiastic individual who can work well as a team and independently. You will also have to hold a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
The Post Holder will be required to
- Carry out compliance checks for environmental, health, safety and legislative standards and service levels
- Plan and manage maintenance works – both planned preventative (PPMs) as well as reactive works.
- Manage FM contractors and suppliers on site
- Carry out delegated Site Responsible Officer tasks at specific properties as agreed with the Site Responsible Officer
- Support the delivery of projects
- Act as a point of contact for customers.
Person specification
- Experience in a Customer Service or Facilities Management related role.
- Woking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint.
- Maintaining good relationships with contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Selection process details
Application Process
As part of the application process you will be asked to complete a CV and 250-word behaviour statements. Further details around what this will entail are listed on the application form.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate the essential role requirements within the application behaviour responses.
Sift
Should a large number of applications be received, the initial sift may be conducted using a lead behaviour, Delivering at Pace. Candidates who pass the initial sift may be progressed to a full sift, or progressed straight to assessment/interview.
Sifting will take place w/c 19th June 2023.
Interview
If successful at application stage, you will be invited to interview where you will be assessed on behaviours, and strengths.
A presentation or additional exercise may also be assessed.
Interviews are scheduled to take place either w/c 26th June or w/c 3rd July 2023, but may be subject to change. Interview location to be confirmed.

Location
Please be aware that this role(s) will be contractually based in a Defra group workplace/office. The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location, and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.
Reserve List
A reserve list may be held for a period of 12 months from which further appointments can be made.
Salary
New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start on the minimum of the pay band. The internal roles rules apply to existing Civil Servants, i.e. level transfers move on current salary or the pay range minimum, transfers on promotion move to new pay range minimum or receive 10% increase. Either case is determined by whichever is the highest.
