Job description
- Review and interpret student confidential medical and psychological evaluations to determine eligibility for services and appropriate individual accommodation plans for students;
- Provide ongoing student case management, follow-up, and support of accommodations both in and out of the classroom, as well as related faculty support and advocacy;
- Maintain confidential student files, records, and correspondence while tracking and compiling Disability Services usage;
- Maintain a current filing, tracking, and recordkeeping system for all students with disabilities enrolled at CBU;
- Assist the Director in providing oversight for the development and coordination of academic programs and services for students with disabilities that reflect Christian values of the institution;
- Support the Director in developing, coordinating, and implementing faculty/staff training, workshops, and seminars on disability laws, policies, and serving students with disabilities;
- Serves as a point of contact and resource to answer questions related to disability services and documentation requirements from current and prospective students, faculty, and university administration;
- Supervise and coordinate the production and acquisition of accessible alternative formats, assistive technology; note-taking services; and interpreting/transcription services;
- Oversees the selection, training, and supervision of student office workers;
- Report to and carry out other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Disability Services;
- Performs other duties that are specific to the Office of Student Success.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
