Join us in our Technical Operations team to work across all areas of service assurance – including cyber security, business continuity, website assurance, communications, and technical delivery.
In this fast-growing area of the business, you’ll develop expertise and skills that are increasingly in-demand. As we design and deliver new digital and data services, you’ll become more and more involved, helping to improve service quality and security in the design or procurement of new online tools and services.
The role
You’ll be working with the business and our development teams to champion best practice management of digital services. You’ll help develop and deliver plans to launch and manage services, while meeting digital and technical standards for public service.
Your work will include business continuity for systems, cyber security (with security guides for procurement), management of information systems, and the information asset register process. Working across all business directorates, you’ll maintain best practice in digital delivery – to give staff and customers confidence in Scottish Enterprise services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and delivering the rollout and maintenance of business continuity plans and incident management plans for our systems. You’ll base this on business impact and risk to services, establishing the process with regular test exercises.
- Managing stakeholder relationships specific to Service Design, IT operations and performance management.
- Working with Service Design and Procurement teams on processes to incorporate cyber security into all our activities.
Who we're looking for
You can successfully combine team-working and problem-solving with an understanding of technical and digital delivery. You’ll be eager to learn new skills to better support IT and digital delivery. You’ll have an analytical mindset with attention to detail but retain awareness of the bigger picture to manage and prioritise activity. A customer-centric and risk management approach is essential.
Your skills, abilities and experience should include:
- Being a confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communications
- An understanding of digital service design and the benefits and impact to SE and customers
- Understanding and application of cyber security and technology delivery
- Experience in collaboration and stakeholder management
- Qualifications or skills and experience at SCQF Level 9 (a degree, or a graduate diploma)
Ideally, but not essentially, you’ll also have:
- Experience of project management in agile delivery and use of agile and lean techniques
- Strong risk management approach to delivery
- Understanding of Scottish Enterprise’s business objectives and structure
- Ability to collate information, analyse and recommend evidence-based change
What we offer
If successful, you'll gain access to the following benefits:
- Membership of the Scottish Enterprise Pension and Life Assurance Scheme – a pension based on your final pensionable salary, flexible retirement options and generous life assurance cover
- Up to 43 annual leave days a year (including public holidays) with the opportunity to buy additional holidays
- Flexible working arrangements
- A health cash plan
- Our Employee Retail Benefits Scheme
- Our Employee Assistance Scheme
