Trago Mills (Merthyr Tydfil) - Miscellaneous Service Assistant
Conveniently located just off the A470 (Swansea Road) and opposite the Cyfarthfa Retail Park in Merthyr Tydfil, our Merthyr store consists of over 23,200 square metres filled with over 180,000 home and leisure products.
Job Type
Full Time – 35 hours per week working 5 from 7 days
Salary
£10.42 per hour plus OTE bonus scheme and generous staff discount
Responsible to
Retail Store Manager
Role Summary
· To work flexibly, undertaking cleaning and such other activities to maximise sales, business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities
· Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of all fixtures, equipment and fabric of the shop premises
· Emptying waste bins or similar receptacles, transporting waste material to designated collection points
· Sweeping floors with brushes or dust control mops
· Mopping floors with wet or damp mops
· Suction cleaning carpeted areas and “spot” cleaning carpets
· Using electrically powered scrubbing and polishing machines to burnish, scrub, polish and spray clean floors (after receiving proper instruction and training)
· To clean toilets, urinals, hand basins and sinks
· To replenish consumable items (soap, toilet rolls, paper towels)
· Assisting the company and colleagues by carrying out such duties away from usual areas of work as may reasonably be required
