Shifts: Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm, optional overtime available on Saturdays.

This is the job

Our Mobile Servicing Team have been recently formed to offer a new and exciting product/service for the AA. This is a great opportunity to be part of something modern and share in its successes, working with an energetic and goal-oriented team.

Working with us, you’ll be making all the difference to our customers by dividing your time between attending breakdowns at the roadside, recovering vehicles where necessary, and appointment based mobile service work at our customers’ homes.

What will I be doing?

  • Vehicle servicing to both Electric, and Internal Combustion engines, upselling additional parts/services where appropriate
  • Attending to breakdowns at the roadside, undertaking safe and effective diagnosis and repair of faults where possible
  • Assessing breakdown situations and engaging garage and/or relay assistance where appropriate
  • Undertaking Relay duties including accident, theft and vandalism recovery, whilst ensuring your passengers are safe and well informed of any progress
  • Staying abreast of any new technological or safety information that may affect diagnosis and repair of vehicles
  • Reporting matters of local motoring or weather interest to our Operations Centre for motoring, information and broadcasting services
  • Ensuring our customers are aware of all the benefits that come with an AA Membership, encouraging renewals and new subscriptions
  • Maintain our high standard of serviceability and cleanliness of any tools, vehicles and equipment issued for individual use, along with accurate records of any vehicle work carried out

What do I need?

  • An NVQ level 3 or C&G level 2, or equivalent experience / qualifications in the Automotive industry.
  • A sound, practical knowledge of the mechanical and electrical workings of motor vehicles
  • A Basic knowledge of motoring law and ability to give evidence in court as required.
  • A valid driving licence with less than 6 points
