Job description
The Enrollment Services Advisor I is responsible for reading and reviewing applications for admission to the University as well as reviewing applications for scholarship awards. The position may also advise prospective and admitted students on admission requirements, academic programs and financial Aid.
Bachelor’s degree. Excellent organizational skills; proficient in MS Office products and the ability to learn other software programs; detail oriented, accurate and ability to prioritize information in a timely manner; strong communication skills; written, oral, active listening and interpersonal skills; work effectively in team situations; proactive in identifying potential issues; demonstrate computational ability; ability to investigate, analyze and interpret data or information for accuracy and completeness in order to make informed decisions; ability to work on several tasks at one time; ability to make quality decisions based on available information; ability to respond effectively in a variety of situations.
Preferred Education and Experience- Review applications, essays, transcripts, and other application-related materials for admission decisions and scholarship awards in a consistent and timely fashion.
- Stay current on federal, state and institutional policies and procedures as well as university degrees, majors, programs, research and admission requirements.
- Work within an admissions review group with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Participate in all assigned training and meetings.
- Participate in Enrollment Management events, which may include working after regular business hours and/or on weekends.
Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available. Employee must be located within the DFW area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
